Claires Nightclub Torquay has run "Full Tilt" on a Friday for the last 8 years when it was started by Mike & Ben McGowan. Over this time Full Tilt has played host to most of the well known DJ's around including Paul Oakenfold, Tony De Vit, Jon Digweed, Judge Jules, Boy George, Sister Bliss and Sonique to name just a few. Nowadays it's the turn of the new breed with regular appearances from the likes of Lisa Pin Up, Steve Thomas, Tidy Trax DJ's, Nukleuz DJ's, to name a few but still visits from old friends such as Billy Nasty, Parks & Wilson, and many more.
	Over the years Mike & Ben have met them all and one that stands out and always comes to mind is Tony De Vit. In '97 Muzik Magazine poll Tony said that Full Tilt was his favourite gig and this was a definite high point for all involved and from both the regulars and organisers points of view he was certainly Torquay's Favourite DJ and will always be remembered. Full Tilt has always kept to dance music and is the only serious dance music club in Torbay even in rough times its never changed always stayed with the belief that music is the most important element of clubbing and of course its paid off. Clubbers know that a night at Full Tilt you don't dance round your handbag, you don't have to wear Armani or go out in a crowd your welcome to enjoy the music and dance. That's the most important thing, friendly staff, friendly clubbers and a good atmosphere create a great experience.
	Saturday night at Claires used to be just like any other nightclub then mike convinced everyone 5 ½ years ago to launch "Kinda Funky". He said funk needed a voice so he gave it one in Torquay playing Jazz Funk, R&B, Swing and all things funky with some good quality disco all mixed in. Within weeks it was massive and goes from strength to strength. Kinda Funky has regular guests DJ's that now including the likes of Simon "schoolboy" Phillips, DJ Bigger, Norman Jay, Dj Diggs. They all attend regularly and then in 2000 saw the first visit from Trevor Nelson who couldn't believe "how good" it was for somewhere so far from the bright lights of London.
	As Claires has two rooms Friday's Full Tilt night has a Kinda Funky Friday Session providing the alternative, and on a Saturday room 2 is invaded by the Full Tilt Saturday Sesh thus giving an both nights some variety and keeping more the people coming to the club pleased.
